Best Money-Saving iPhone Apps for Students

With the fall semester gearing up soon, many students will be looking for ways to prepare for their next course load.  With so many students owning iPhone devices, it will only be natural for them to be looking for some apps to help with this.  They may want to learn about a few great programs out there that are phenomenal resources for young students.  If you are a student, you will want to read through this review of some of the top rated money-saving iPhone apps out there for you.

CourseSmart

This first entry is at the top of the list for a reason.  The program gives students access to over 7,000 book files directly through their iPhone devices.  There is a good chance that many of them will never have to shop for books again.  That doesn’t mean that the books available through here will be free.  Typically, students will pay a small licensing fee that will grant them access to the books for a period of up to 180 days.  These fees are usually only half the price of a print, physical copy of the exact same book.  The only drawback is that students will need to read it on their small iPhone screen.

Evernote

Many students are starting to talk about this handy app for their iPhone devices.  Essentially, it provides them with a few extra tools that they may need to keep up in their classes.  There is an audio recording device if they need to record any of the lectures that they attend.  They can also take pictures of their class notes and save them for future study sessions.  This program will add an incredible amount of storage space that can hold these files as well.  Students will be able to upload about 60 MB of data packages to the space provided by Evernote.  If you study at one of the best criminal justice colleges, then Evernote is extremely useful to keep notes from your law class.

Graphing Calculator

This is a multipurpose mathematical app that will help equip students with a number of essential tools.  The most striking feature is that it allows students to graph equations right on to their iPhone screen.  But it also has a number of different scientific calculator functions that may prove to be incredibly useful.  Math and science majors will want to take a look at this program to see if it can help them.  It may only perform a limited range of computations, but it still has the potential to be incredibly helpful.  Many students will also like the fact that it is very cheap for an iPhone app.  It is currently retailing for about $0.99 at most stores.

Dropbox

There are likely a lot of students out there who are familiar with Dropbox, since it gives them the chance to store the data they need.  But some might not know that there is now a Dropbox iPhone app that is available.  This is an incredibly useful tool that will help you better manage the types of files you may use for your class.  The entire program will be run off of a cloud-based server, so you will have access to it at any time.  This is actually a free application, which will net you 2 GB of storage space.  A lot of insurance agents who offer California car insurance use Dropbox to sync between computers and their work.
