According to the MSA program online from Villanova University, getting to know the taxes you have to pay can help you make better calculations and save money along the way. With income tax, for instance, you don’t need to pay the full 39.6% federal income tax. The tax rate is based on the actual income you make, plus there are ways to save on your income tax.
The same can be said for capital gains tax. This type of tax is calculated based on your income tax rate, which means you can save a lot on your returns on investment when you have a relatively small personal income.
