It is time to leave and risk going into a job that you don’t like as much (or no job at all)? Don’t worry; there are ways for you to make more money in your current job. Here are some ideas.
Ask For A Raise

Don’t wait until it’s offered; it might be that it never is. Instead, put together a list of all your achievements within the company – give them a monetary value if you can. If you don’t have the qualifications or knowledge required to go further within your current company, find out what those qualifications are and attend a class to get them. It’s never a bad idea to improve your knowledge and skill set, so apply for an online graduate course, go to industry webinars, or find an evening course that will help you out. If you’re not sure where to look, ask your boss; it will show how invested you are in the company, and in yourself.
It’s far too easy these days to simply email or text someone to ask a question or get some more information – even if they are in the same office. Although this is perfectly acceptable, it’s not the best way to build relationships, and without those relationships, you may find that you are overlooked when promotions and new positions come up. Building relationships within your company, in all the different departments, can really help you make more money in the end. So instead of emailing or texting, walk over to their desk.
