Wealthy Affiliate Review: Can You Make Money From This Course?

There are many opportunities for people to make money online. Affiliate marketing is one of them that has been around the longest. Today we are going to review one of the oldest affiliate marketing courses called the Wealthy Affiliate to see if this is for you and if you can actually earn an income online working from your home.

The Wealthy Affiliate originated around 2005 and is still going strong today. They have thousands of members that come from many places around the world.

Now that we have a bit of backround, let’s get into the course. The course allows you to sign up as a free member with an option to continue on with the course material for $49 a month. You can stay on as a free member but most of the content will stay locked. You get 10 free lessons which are in Level 1. Things like choosing a niche, setting up Wordress, adding plugins, customize your menu etc. are all included for free.

After you complete level 1, you need to make a decision if you are going to stay on as a premium member and pay the monthly fees. If you do, there’s a lot you need to know.

Wealthy Affiliate Membership

As a paid member, you will quickly find out that one of the ways the Wealthy Affiliate tells you how to make money is by promoting the Wealthy Affiliate. This is a constant theme throughout the training. Many people start to feel if the Wealthy Affiliate is just a scam because of this.

Outdated Training

Many of the modules include training that varies from 2-6 years old. In the marketing world, this is a century. They do make up for this with live training once a week but they seriously need to update the course.

As far as the modules go, there are seven phases in the initial training. The first level is the free one. Other topics included are creating your website, an overview on how affiliate marketing works, using Google Adsense, social engagement, content creation and paid ads.

In case you are wondering, there is no SEO training. For some reason the Wealthy Affiliate only teaches on-page SEO and says that good quality content is the only thing you need to rank your web pages and that this will happen over time.

Affiliate Bootcamp

The affiliate bootcamp has 7 phases of training. Topics include – getting your business rolling, keywords & conversions, branding, creating videos, more content creation tips and PPC with Bing, Yahoo and Google.

Wealthy Affiliate Community

The course encourages you to engage with other members on the site. They have a good sense of community which can either be a good or bad thing. It`s possible this is a tactic to keep people on by making you feel part of something, making it hard to leave. You do have the ability to ask questions whenever you need help which is a good thing. The owners of the site are also available should you run into any roadblocks.

Should You Buy Into the Wealthy Affiliate?

Many people claim that it’s a great course and that it has changed their lives. The problem is a lot of these people are actual affiliates. You will want to find a Wealthy Affiliate review that is not biased like this one and gives you an honest and in-depth look into the course and what you get. For the purposes of this review, the conclusion would be to sign up for the free training and see if it is for you. There’s zero risk and you should not feel compelled to stay on as a member if you don’t wish to do so.
