Paid-to-Click means you are being paid to click. You are paid by clicking your mouse to view advertisements.  Sounds good and easy but the catch is you are paid cents and the number of ads you can click is limited.  Do not lose hope though, for I think there are promising PTC websites out there.  For the determined and ingenious clicker, I believe PTCs can give a handsome pay.

Before you go click-happy, let me warn you that there are a lot of scammers online who are always looking forward to robbing you of your hard-earned cash.  So beware. Most PTC sites will promise you things — amazing things.  Like, “Earn hundreds and hundreds of dollars in one day, without lifting a finger!”.  I think only delusional people will believe that because if that was true then everyone should be filthy rich by now.  Earning money requires hard work, especially when you are just starting out to recruit and build your army of little, money soldiers.  If the promises seem too good to be true, they likely are!

I noticed that the scammers have things in common which are:

  1. They promise you the heavens, the stars and the galaxies far, far away.  I would rather have them tell me that I will earn a little amount that is humanly possible than tell me I will earn ridiculous amounts achievable only by superheroes.
  2. They ask you to pay to earn.  Pay to earn, isn’t that silly?  If they ask you to pay upfront, give them the dirty finger and run away.

So how do you separate the good ones from the rotten ones?  Do your research and exercise your common sense.  Don’t be too greedy.  Relax.  Chill.

In my PTC hunting, I found Clixsense which says: “Advertising that pays“. Mmm, sounds nice. Here is their shiny banner which you can click should you decide to join.

My Paid-to-Click Journey

In the first few days that I joined, I earned exceedingly small amounts.  Like this -> $0.0027.  It’s not even a cent.  I quickly lost interest and forgot all about Clixsense. Until one fine day, I revisited the website.  I then took my time to research it and I found out that it is one of the oldest PTCs.  From the things I read, Clixsense turned out to have a pretty good reputation and that they always pay on time.  I took my time to study it and learn all the ways I can earn and these are my findings:

  1. You can earn in a variety of ways such as clicking advertisements, playing a game of chance called ClixGrid, getting bonuses and referring new members.
  2. Clicking advertisements is the lowest earner. Reward for each advertisement clicked is very small, it ranges from $0.001 to $0.05.
  3. A slightly better earner is ClixGrid wherein you are given 25 or 50 chances everyday to win up to five dollars by clicking a winning pixel in a picture. I have won a couple of times and I would say the odds of winning is not bad at all.
  4. The next better earner is the checklist bonus wherein you have a list of tasks you need to complete and you’ll get 5% or 10% commission on the total earnings you got from completing the tasks as well as from ClixGrid and advertisements clicked.
  5. The biggest earner is the Tasks where you perform simple tasks and get paid depending on the number of tasks you completed. The tasks are relatively easy and the pay is reasonable.
  6. Erase that.  Maybe the biggest earner is not the Tasks but the affiliate program. Unfortunately I wouldn’t know if it is because I do not have referrals yet. You can have unlimited, multilevel referrals with a good pay structure.  This is where I can see  a real potential in Clixsense. I do think having lots of referrals is achievable with hard work and a clever and winning system of getting referrals which very likely is just a creative brainstorming away.

Once I understood Clixsense a little better, I decided to upgrade my account for 1 year and pay $17.  I upgraded my account in a little more than a week ago and I don’t regret it.  In the five days after my upgrade I was able to earn $6.28 which I received through PayPal. It is indeed very possible to easily recover the upgrade fee. Let me show you my account details and the payment I received:

From what I have observed in my own experience I can comfortably earn $1 in 1.5 hours working on tasks.  If  I do that everyday for 1 month, I will earn approximately PHP 1,200 which is not bad at all. What if I make that 3 hours a day?  That will double my earnings to PHP 2,400 and that is not including referrals which I don’t have yet.  Although earning in tasks is okay, I believe that earning in referrals will be king.

Overall my opinion of Clixsense is neutral. I don’t exactly recommend or condemn it.  I need to explore it further especially the affiliate program before I can evaluate it fairly but so far I like my experience with it enough to further explore it and give it a try.  I sincerely think you should, too. In closing let me leave these words: “Do not hate the small beginnings because big things start from small.”
